NATIONALS – About

The Canadian Event Awards National Program is designed for companies interested in showcasing their work and competing for top honours at a national level. The 2018 awards entry portal will open December 15, 2017  and will be open until the deadline for entries which is February 4, 2018. There is a late entry deadline of February 11, 2018.

New for 2017, the Canadian Event Industry Awards Program has added a regional awards competition. This regional based program celebrates the best in local event planning and design.  Winners in each regional category will advance directly to a finalist position in the national awards. However you do NOT need to enter the regionals to compete in the nationals, one may still ONLY enter the one national competition and you may also enter both the regionals and the nationals for a shot at both titles. Please see rules and regulations for more information.

Who Can Enter?

Any Canadian company or individual who qualifies for the specified category criteria with their event or event component may enter. Also, Canadians who produce events outside of Canada may enter, as long as their company resides in Canada.

Eligibility?

All events need to have taken place between January 1, 2017, and December 31, 2017.  All entries must follow the guidelines laid out on the Rules & Guidelines page. There are two awards which cannot be entered but are chosen by the advisory council. They are Spirit of the Industry and Emerging Leader. For these two awards, suggestions for nominations can be submitted to Canadian Special Events Magazine by email during the entry period. See the category criteria page for more information on these two awards.
